Information on the Battery Regulations
Many devices are supplied with batteries, which can be used, for example, to operate remote controls. Batteries or rechargeable batteries can also be permanently installed in the devices themselves. In connection with the sale of these batteries or rechargeable batteries, we as dealers are obliged in accordance with the Battery Ordinance to inform our customers of the following:
Please dispose of used batteries at a municipal collection point or hand them over to your local dealer free of charge as prescribed by law - disposal in household waste is expressly prohibited by the battery regulations. Batteries received from us can be sent back to us after use, postage paid, by post.

Batteries that contain harmful substances are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out dustbin. The chemical name of the pollutant - e.g. "Cd" for cadmium - is located under the garbage can symbol. "Pb" for lead or "Hg" for mercury.
You will also find these instructions in the documents accompanying the consignment or in the manufacturer's operating instructions.
Further information on the Battery Ordinance can be found at the german Bundesministerium für Umwelt, Naturschutz und Reaktorsicherheit (Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety) or by downloading the Battery Ordinance in PDF format.
