Alpinestars SMX Waterproof Jacket
Derived from a combination of MX and street motorcycling design. The new SMX Waterproof Jacket incorporates elements of MX design when it comes to the jacket’s materials, sport fit and graphics, together with performance features from road riding such as the External DFS lite shoulder, and the waterproof membrane that provides additional protection for all-weather riding. With a main chassis constructed with 600D poly-fabric and stretch softshell for the optimal blend of durability, light weight and comfort, this jacket features subtly incorporated class-leading Nucleon Flex Plus armor for proven impact protection. The SMX jacket has a fixed waterproof membrane for proven wet weather performance, and has a detachable thermal liner, allowing it to be easily adapted to the weather conditions for real world versatility.

- Tech-Air® 5 ready; Tech-Air® is the world's first fully electronic, self-contained, fully independent upper body motorbike airbag system that requires no configurations between motorbike and rider
- Strategically positioned stretch panel inserts are designed to accommodate the Alpinestars airbag system. They allow for expansion when the airbag is inflated, but also provide a high level of anatomical performance and a great fit when riding without the system
- A sporty, body-hugging fit and pre-shaped sleeves ensure optimal riding performance
- DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment on the fixed waterproof membrane for added wet weather performance
- Removable thermal lining (100 g on the body, 80 g on the sleeves) allows the jacket to be adapted to the respective climate
- Nucleon Flex Plus protectors on shoulders and elbows (Nucleon chest protector level 1 and Nucleon back protector level 1 and 2; available as accessories)
- DFS Lite shoulders with dynamic friction protection on the shoulder for increased abrasion resistance
- The rear part of the jacket is extended to improve protection while riding
- Shock cord at the waist for a secure closure
- Two zipped front pockets, two chest pockets, one waterproof inner pocket for documents and two inner pockets
